It’s been a while since my last blog post…more than a year. I still write a lot, random thoughts mostly. I just procrastinate about sitting down to Blog.
But I’m starting a journey this week and have struggled with how to keep people updated as I go, so I decided I’d better figure out a way to do this from my phone. And wouldn’t you know it, there’s an app for that. Woot! So I quick downloaded the app and here I am, sitting in my car waiting for Penny Lane the Poodle Mix while she’s in her spa appointment, testing it out.
Friday is fly day. We leave LAX for Paris bright and early. After the usual planes, trains and automobiles we will arrive in Le Puy en Velay in France on August 13, Saturday. We’re taking a two day rest and recovery break and on August 16, Scott and I will start my 1000 mile trek across France and Spain. Scott’s hiking with me for about 2 weeks, then I head out on my own. Packed and ready to go!
The camino is calling. I can’t wait to be back there. It’s where a person can shed all of the weight that we carry every day, and grab back onto what is important.
So this will be my blog spot, where I will update regularly, but not daily. Everything will be dependent on access to Wi-Fi and how tired I am! Haha!
If you’re following me here, remember that swearing is usually involved (refer back to
Blog post #1). If you can’t handle swearing, you probably don’t need to be on my damn blog! :) haha!
Last but not least, my girl Penny Lane is done with her spa appointment, so I am signing off to spend time with her. I’m going to miss this girl. She’s my heart.
Walk with joy, Pilgrims. Buen Camino! #letsshineitforward #fortheginger
Stay safe and return renewed in mind and spirit. I suspect renewal of body might take a bit following a 1,000 mile trek. Love you, Lady.
Happy travels to you both! Hope to visit you when you get home.
Incredible. Have a great adventure. If at the end of the day, you don't think you can go on....look for the first 5 star hotel, and for sure you'll feel better in the morning. Have fun!
Stay safe!
France here we come!
